Our client is a multinational beef procurement organisation, offering a specialised farming model that improves efficiency in the supply chain for livestock farmers. In the UK and Ireland they work with farmers to ensure consistent income and high quality produce.
Due to a recent expansion in the business, they are looking for an Administration Assistant to assist the Procurement team. In this key role, you'll use farm management software to help ensure smooth operations and maintain the growing supplier network of dairy farmers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team by logging procurement activity related to calf supply.
- Track and report on financial metrics such as cost savings and spend analysis, especially for haulage operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements within procurement processes.
- Provide administrative support to the procurement, sales, and operational teams.
- Assist with procurement-related customer service, responding to supplier and customer queries.
- Ensure accurate data entry into systems and maintain up-to-date procurement records.
- Document supplier performance to help optimize procurement strategies.
About you:
- Proficient in Agri Web software or similar platforms (training provided for the right candidate).
- Organised, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear communicator, can effectively manage supplier relationships and collaborate with internal teams.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Previous experience in Dairy industry or livestock management is a plus, but not required.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a willingness to learn.
