Curator Craft

Mae'r curaduron yn chwarae rhan ganolog wrth ddatgelu straeon am bobl a lleoedd trwy gyfrwng y gweithiau yn y casgliad cenedlaethol. Byddwn ni'n ceisio pennu blaenoriaeth adrannau o'r casgliad crefftau i'w hailarddangos a'u hailddehongli. Bydd y rôl hon yn ganolog wrth ymchwilio a nodi llwybrau ar gyfer gwneud y casgliad crefft yn berthnasol i bobl o bob oed, cymuned a phrofiad, a hynny yng nghyd-destun dwy flaenoriaeth strategol i Amgueddfa Cymru:

- Rhannu'r casgliad
- Dad-drefedigaethu'r casgliad

Y rôl hon yw'r unig rôl yn y tîm Celf sy'n canolbwyntio'n unswydd ar y casgliad crefft. Ar ben cyfrannu at ddull o ddatblygu a chyflawni sy'n gefnogol i'r ddwy ochr, ar draws arbenigeddau'r adran, bydd yna gyfle i gydweithio ar ymagweddau cyffredin at ddatblygiadau digidol, partneriaethau ac ymgysylltu.

Curators play a central role in revealing stories of people and places through works in the national collection. We will be looking to prioritise areas of the craft collection for redisplay and reinterpretation. This role will be pivotal in researching and identifying routes for making the craft collection relevant to people of all ages, communities and experiences. This is in the context of two strategic priorities for Amgueddfa Cymru:

• Sharing the collection
• Decolonising the collection

This role is the only role in the Art team with a singular focus on the craft collection. As well as contributing to a mutually supportive approach to development and delivery across the specialisms of the department, there will be opportunity to work together on shared approaches to digital, partnership and engagement development.
