Position: Cover Manager Location: South Manchester Start Date: ASAP Hours: 7:00 AM - 12:30 PM (5.5 Hours / day)

Our client, a reputable Secondary School in South Manchester, is currently seeking a dedicated and efficient Cover Manager to join their team.
Role Overview: As a Cover Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the school. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate cover for staff absences, maintaining a seamless learning environment for students. You will work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure all classes are adequately covered and that educational continuity is preserved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule cover for staff absences
- Communicate with teachers and support staff regarding cover requirements
- Manage a team of cover supervisors and support staff
- Maintain and update the school's cover database
- Liaise with the leadership team to ensure the efficient allocation of cover staff
- Ensure that classroom resources and materials are readily available for cover lessons
- Oversee the delivery of cover lessons, ensuring a positive learning experience for students
- Assist with administrative tasks related to cover management
Requirements:
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively
- A passion for education and a commitment to student welfare
- Previous experience in a school setting or a similar role is desirable, but not essential
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
