Job Description

Position: Country Manager (Orthopaedics)

Location: Nordics

Company: A Medical Devices company

Planet Pharma are partnered with one of our fast-growing Medical Device clients who is seeking a Country Manager who specializes in the sales of Orthopaedic Hip & Knee replacement/ Implant products. They are dedicated to the design and development of novel, clinically relevant, state-of-the-art and best-in-the-class devices to alleviate human suffering and improve quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Management

  • 100% a field-job for Orthopaedic sales and business management in the assigned territory.
  • Ensures periodic achievement as per business plan
  • Budgeted target revenue, business growth & gain in market share.
  • Timely payment collections/receivables
  • Timely execution of sales/marketing/clinical activities in the assigned territory

Business Management

  • To build and maintain a formal business relationship with hospital finance department for timely receipt of payments
  • Participate in proper transfer pricing discussion with country head in accordance with market dynamics and company pricing strategy
  • To establish correct distribution agreements which includes optimal volumes for purchase, distributor transfer pricing in accordance with organizational objectives
  • Participate in understanding reimbursement/insurance process for assigned territory
  • Willingness to travel outside of the assigned territory for business purpose

Distribution Management

  • Identify, build, manage and grow an effective network of distributors, sub-distributors & independent sales agents to increase product penetration as per organizational business and growth objectives
  • Liaise with country head / channel partners for efficient inventory management and prompt servicing of products.

Business Development - Existing and New Hospitals

  • Regularly meet Surgeons, Hospital Buying Committees/GPOs/key decision makers, Key OR/OT personnel independently and/or with channel partners to articulate technology using product presentations & demonstration kits, clinical research publications and/or clinical trials programs, exchange updates on product and technology, for purchase discussions/negotiations

Key Requirements:

  • At least 7+ years of experience in Hip and Knee joint replacement / reconstruction field (specifically Hip and Knee Implants)
  • Either looking for a National Sales Manager or a Regional Manager that has looked after the majority of Nordics and want to step up.
  • Ortho Hip & Knee experience must be recent in the last 2 years
  • Management experience is a must
