About the role
Energia, part of Energia Group, have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Manager based in Dublin.
This new role will support our Renewables team with projects across onshore, offshore, solar, battery and other renewable technologies.
This key role will be a fundamental part of our team - managing multiple renewables projects through development, planning, design input, site activity management, commissioning, and handover.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project development and construction, preferably within the energy industry or other substantial infrastructural projects. We are looking for experienced construction managers who excel in communication and thrive on delivering successful projects. As this team is in growth phase, this role presents an exciting opportunity to join at the early stages of project development and plays a vital role in our contribution to the energy transition.

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities
Day-to-day, here s what your new role would look like:
• Oversee day-to-day site management for renewables projects, ensuring alignment with programme and budget, and successful handover to the Operations team.
• Deliver regular reports to project stakeholders and manage both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
• Contribute to scheme designs for grid connections and site layouts, ensuring accurate reflection in planning designs and contract packs.
• Ensure planning compliance throughout all project phases, with support from the internal planning and environmental teams.
• Conduct commercial negotiations and contribute to risk and opportunity management, reporting on project programme updates.
• Ensure adherence to company quality standards and processes, oversee quality control during construction, and assist in managing project budgets.
Our key criteria
These are the qualifications, experience, skills, or knowledge you must have:
• Third level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in successfully delivering high-value engineering projects within the energy industry, including managing and coordinating construction projects with multiple resources.
• Experience and understanding of construction contracts.
• Current driving license and access to a vehicle.
Our desirable criteria
These help decide between talent who meet all the essential criteria:
• Expertise in HV grid connections (110 and 220 kV) and Wind / Solar / Battery installations above 5 MWh.
• Experience in community consultation, engagement, and property agreements for project development.
• In-depth knowledge of the renewables industry, including technical and development expertise for large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or ArcGIS software tools.
