Job Description

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: £18.82 per hour

Duration: 3 months interim

Greenacre are pleased to be supporting a social housing organisation, based in Hertfordshire, with their recruitment of a Communications Officer.

You'll be planning and delivering effective communications in order to engage core audience groups (internal, customer and corporate), maintain a clear brand identity and help the organisation deliver effective campaigns and projects.

What will you do in the role?

  • Coordinate regular external newsletters and magazines for customers and stakeholders, tailoring to key audience segments. Monitor feedback and performance to continuously improve content, design and delivery.
  • Create and manage communications plans for key business projects. Arrange production of any materials (leaflets, graphics, videos, email, etc).
  • Project manage the introduction of any new communications channels - e.g. new websites or intranet. Set objectives, liaise with internal working groups, produce content and visual materials and arrange launch events.
  • Design graphics (digital / digital) and videos to ensure brand identity is consistent and visual materials are high quality and engaging.

Who would excel in this role?

  • Graphic design fundamentals (use of Canva and basic use of Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro)
  • Excellent grammar, proofing and copywriting skills with the ability to adjust style to suit the audience.
  • Detailed understanding of all main social media channels, website and intranet management and email marketing.
