Job Description

We're looking for Commissioning Engineers to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team

Location: Exeter or can be based from one of our other offices in the Bristol/ Taunton region

Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Kier and it's partnership with South West Water and Wessex Water are passionate about providing clean and waste water services across the South West. Our delivery team are a key part of this partnership, and our commissioning engineers provide support from the concept stage, right through to ensuring a functional and fully optimised asset to our partners.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll be responsible for writing PLC & HMI software and undertaking SCADA page configurations for allocated projects.

Your day to day will include:

  • Develop Functional Design Specification & Control Philosophies
  • Contributing to training materials in accordance with the Client and Kier standards
  • Completing multiple concurrent projects
  • Undertaking factory & site testing providing commission assistance and client training

What are we looking for?

This role of Commissioning Engineer is great for you if you hold:

  • Experience of programming a variety of PLC platforms utilising IEC 61131-3 programme languages and programming HMI's and configuring SCADA pages
  • Hold an industry applicable ONC/HNC/BEng or NVQ equivalent
  • Sound commercial and contractual awareness, as well as inclusion on clients approved software lists where applicable
  • Full driving licence
