Commercial Lead (Procurement, Contracts, Supplier Management) - Manchester (hybrid - 2 days a week onsite)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Lead to join a leading organisation.

This role will play a crucial part in managing commercial activities, including contract and supplier management, procurement, and performance monitoring.

The successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of contracts exceeding £10m in value, ensuring the delivery of contracted services aligns with the organisation's strategy and objectives.

As Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for managing multi-disciplined teams, both internally and externally, and working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure services are delivered effectively and offer value for money.

This is a leadership position that requires strong commercial management experience and exceptional negotiation skills to manage large suppliers and complex contracts.

We are looking for candidates who ideally have:

Degree or significant relevant experience in commercial management.
Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualification.
Proven experience in commercial management, contract and supplier management, and procurement.
Experience managing contract portfolios with values exceeding £10m.
Significant experience in performance management of multi-supplier environments.
Strong background in budget management, value for money, and cost minimisation.
Experience managing multi-disciplined teams, including suppliers, and aligning their performance with organisational strategy.
Experience writing business cases, tender documents, and participating in the tender process.
Experience conducting formal service reviews and performance monitoring.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to allocate resources, motivate teams, and delegate responsibilities effectively are a must have.
