Cloud Solution Architect

Cloud Solutions Architect:

Cloud Solutions Architect required to join an established Tech Consultancy. You will play a leading role in the design of GCP focused projects from POC to implementation. This is a blended role, so ability to design solution across key areas such as applications, infrastructure and data.

You will work with a highly technical team with deep knowledge across GCP technologies, supporting clients with both high level & low-level designs. Ideally, you will come from an engineering background with deep GCP knowledge across technologies such as Big Query, Dataproc, Kubernetes, Pub/Sub and Cloud Storage.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Architect to work on large scale projects, supporting the adoption and migration to GCP.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architecture solutions using GCP services.
• Develop cloud adoption frameworks and best practices for efficient and secure migrations.
• Ensure architecture meets performance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed architecture diagrams, documentation, and implementation guides for cloud systems.
• Provide technical leadership on GCP-related initiatives, offering support and guidance to junior architects and engineers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing complex cloud-based architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding of GCP services
• Experience leading and managing cloud migration projects, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting applications for GCP.
• Experience with cloud cost management tools and strategies for optimizing GCP resource consumption.
