Hours: 37.5 hours per week 8.30am-4.30pm

About the role

Weare looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house ClinicalTeam at Heath Farm School based in Kent. The post holder will workcollaboratively with both the school's Senior Leadership team (SLT)and the Locality Clinical Lead. The role will involve clinicallyleading the team whilst also maintaining some level of clinicalcaseload in line with the needs of the school and cohort ofstudents. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating theline management of the members of the onsite clinicalteam. Working collaboratively with school SLT, OFG guidanceand all clinicians on site, you will identify and target emergingthemes and priorities for the educational and life outcomes of thestudents. You will be responsible for enhancing the embeddingof clinical excellence within the education team at Heath Farm inline with each individual student's EHCP targets.

You will be responsible for supporting all clinicaldisciplines in how EHCP relevant clinical targets are identified,delivered and monitored. This will involve closecollaborative work with the SENCO and other members of SLT. You will be responsible for ensuring clear outcome measures are putin place which will provide a secure evidence base relating to EHCPtargets. This will be informed by current research, evidenceinformed practice and systemic issues arising as well as the needsof the students who present with complex profiles of need as aresult of autism and other types of neurodivergence, developmentaltrauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH)needs.

You will contribute to and supportdelivery of staff training and provide clinical consultation. There will also be an expectation to do some work and consultationacross other OFG sites in the locality, developing a supportnetwork of colleagues in the locality to enhance and developpractice and ensure consistency and collaboration. Working within overall framework of theservice policies and procedures, you will be supporting theintegration of the specific service in the day to day running ofeach provision i.e. managing caseloads, ensuring clinical practiceis addressing systemic need and enhancing educational and lifeoutcomes of our students. A key aspect of the role will be tosupport discipline specific teams to identify the range ofprojects, whole school, class work, assessments and interventionsrequired whilst also supporting our wider teams in meeting needs inline with Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP)targets.

EssentialCriteria:

  • Doctoral level degree in Psychology (Clinical,Counselling, Forensic, Educational)

  • Registered with the HCPC and own professionalbody.

  • Experience within thespecialist client group; working with autistic individuals andthose with complex needs

  • Clear and concise report writing relating toclinical and research activities

  • Experience of providing supervision andsupporting a therapy team

  • Ability to workindependently

  • Experience ofmulti-professional work with teams or services within thedesignated specialty preferred
