We are a respected regulatory body that regulates pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacies in Great Britain. We work to assure and improve standards of care for people using pharmacy services. We are proud of our diverse and inclusive culture and are committed to holding ourselves to the same standards we expect of others.
We are looking to recruit several Clinical Advisers who advise our Statutory Committee members on any issues within their area of medical expertise, and to intervene if there is a possibility of a mistake being made. It's a 4 year term of office and the roles are part-time.
The role
Clinical Advisers are registered psychiatrists who advise the Statutory Committee's on any issues within their area of medical expertise, and to intervene if there is a possibility of a mistake being made. They should answer questions the Committee have about medical conditions or health-related matters that apply to the case. Our Investigating Committee meetings take place remotely and our Fitness to Practice Committee hearings take place both remotely and in-person at our offices in Canary Wharf.
We would particularly welcome applicants who are currently under-represented on our committees, including those from a range of backgrounds, including people with disabilities, people from ethnic minority backgrounds, all age ranges including those early in their careers.
The roles are remunerated, and reasonable expenses will be covered (in line with the GPhC's Associates and Partners expenses policy).
Location: We are interested in people located anywhere in Great Britain. Many hearings take place remotely, but some are in person at our head office based in Canary Wharf.
