Covering a range of civil engineering projects from public sector clients to subcontracting off Tier 1 Contractors, this company has grown from strength to strength and expects a busy order book as they close out 2024 and beyond.Solving complex problems and successfully delivering projects, your new employer is seeking a Civil Site Manager to join the business in a permanent role for an initial scheme in Bangor Co. Down where you will manage the full groundworks package for a large-scale site, inclusive of public realm works. Your New Role
Joining this sub civil / groundworks contractor will see you take full responsibility for a new site in Bangor, County Down. Phase 1 of the project will involve the full management of a public realm scheme, with further works already being planned that will see you based permanently in Northern Ireland.This role will be suited to candidates with a Civil Engineering bias to help with site set ups, groundwork packages, externals & landscaping, drainage and services.You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all civils elements on site, leading the team to deliver high-quality results in a timely and safe manner. You will be required to maintain record books, read drawings, programme work, and ensure health & safety standards, whilst motivating the team to deliver the project on time and within budget.
What You'll Need to Succeed
As the successful Site Manager, you must have relevant experience of overseeing civils works and be capable of managing site teams across multiple packages inclusive of groundworks, earthworks, drainage, foundations, any and all associated works. You will be a self-starter, with a can-do attitude and a good level of organisation. You will possess a high level of communication and be responsible for ensuring the team are briefed daily on the scheduled works programme. You will be able to motivate the team to ensure the delivery of works is on programme and budget. Previous experience within a civils discipline will be required with particular focus on those with groundworks and site set ups.
