CIS System Engineer

On behalf of one of our key partners RED now has a new opportunity for a CIS System Engineer to join a new project. The contract is hybrid in Utrecht with an initial length of 12 months with a chance of extension beyond that.

This role is to start on the 2nd of December so being available to start immediately would be a necessity.

CIS System Engineer

• Contract Length: 12 Months
• Location: 2 days a week on-site Utrecht, 3 days remote.

Skills

• years of experience engineering mobile communication and information systems.
• In-depth understanding and demonstrated background in systems engineering principles, methodologies, and tools, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, and validation.
• Expertise in designing and managing robust and secure communication networks, including LAN, WAN, MAN, and satellite communications. Knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching is essential.
• Experience with RF systems and technologies, including spectrum management, signal propagation, and interference mitigation.
• Skills in integrating diverse software applications and systems, ensuring interoperability and seamless communication across different platforms and devices.
• Familiarity with military communication standards, protocols, and compliance requirements such as MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-188, and NATO standards.
• Experience with digital engineering and model-based systems engineering methods and tools.
