The National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) are here to transform the futures of as many deaf children and young people as possible, in the UK and around the world.
Every moment counts is the central theme of our strategy to ensure we support deaf children during those crucial early years to help set them up for life. The opportunity to deliver meaningful change is vast and there remain significant social and educational barriers for deaf children we want to remove. We believe we have all the ingredients to make that change happen; an outstanding Executive team, an engaged workforce, stable and secure finances, and a sizable membership base giving us a mandate for change.
We are looking for a talented Chief Executive who is bold and ambitious, shares our passion to make a difference and will bring inspiring leadership to extend our profile, reach and impact even further. We are excited about appointing an enterprising and strategic leader who will collaborate with others as an advocate for change, galvanise our fabulous team to innovate and raise the income we need to make our ambitions a reality.
We are open to leaders from a variety of sectors. A background working in charities or another non-profit organisation would of course be valuable but we would also be interested if you are from a commercial organisation or another setting and demonstrate an authentic passion for our cause with the natural ability to unite people around our purpose and vision. Whatever your background, you will be an exceptional communicator with a combination of commercial aptitude, strategic delivery experience, and the ability to keep an organisation focussed.
NDCS has moved away from being a traditional hierarchical charity and we have transformed ourselves into an agile organisation aligned around strategic priorities. It's vital that our next Chief Executive is a visionary leader and advocate of agile working with demonstrable experience of building organisational resilience.

The closing date is Friday 21 st March.
