Homebased in the Midlands, Greater Manchester or Greater London area

Our client is dedicated to helping people in horticulture. They provide free support, information, advice, financial assistance, and services for people in horticulture and their loved ones during difficult periods in their lives.

They have a real focus on improving the health and wellbeing outcomes of people working in horticulture and have an ambitious preventative strategy to create better futures for people working in horticulture.

They are currently seeking a Caseworker to join their Casework Team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role

As a Caseworker, you will provide advice, information and support to horticulturalists experiencing challenges and adverse life events via telephone and email.

Working collaboratively with horticulturalists and their families, you will help explore issues and identify, co-ordinate and implement solutions.

You will offer generalist advice across areas such as social care, health, benefits, housing and employment, aiming to build enough confidence for the individual to address these problems personally in the future.

About You

To be considered as a Caseworker, you will need:

- Experience in delivering a telephone helpline or advice service
- Experience working in a welfare related environment
- Knowledge of welfare benefits information or advice giving
- Highly developed communication skills
- Excellent sensitive listening and questioning skills

Please note, this role requires some weekend working and overnight stays, with travel to other parts of the UK for meetings.
