Business Analyst

For the coming years, a very ambitious IT strategy has been defined. This strategy will lead to a fundamental transformation of our IT landscape and lead to harmonization within the group.

The main business applications (think WMS, ERP, E-Com platform) will be renewed and rolled-out to all entities. This is a huge challenge, and we will need the best people with us to support this transition.

Functieomschrijving

As a business analyst you will be working within all aspects of our wholesale business. You will play a pivotal role with streamlining and optimizing our business processes from an IT perspective. Together with You will be looking for and identifying business needs and translating this into practical solutions. You will analyse data and suggest optimizations based on this data. You work closely with our application support team and our solution architect to detail out the processes and any new initiatives or changes needed.

Main tasks:

• Process optimization: Define concrete suggestions for process optimizations while working closely with business;
• Process control: Create process overviews and define any risks and issues for these processes. These design will serve as a starting point for the actual change;
• Analyse business processes: You will analyse business processes, data and KPI's to identify possible needs for change and optimizations. For example; streamlining workflows, reduction of unnecessary process steps or reduction of complexity within business processes;
• IT-needs: Identify and document IT needs within the company. Prepare and refine user stories for functional and non-functional requirements;
• Documentation: You will be in charge of setting up and maintaining documentation for all systems and services within our application landscape.

Functie-eisen

To succeed within this challenging role you will need to have the following skills/ experience:

• A analytical mindset that can oversee a large application landscape;
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience;
• 3+ years' experience working in a complex and medium to large organisation as a business analyst;
• Be very skilled in comprehending complex application landscapes;
• You have experience with UML, setting up use cases, user stories and story maps;
• You have solid knowledge of working in an Agile way;
• Confluence and Jira are your preferred tools or you have the power to convince us to use something else;
• Dutch language on C1 level is a must;
• A certificate for IREB, BPMN or equivalent is a plus;
• Experience within IT transformation projects is a plus.
