Job Description

Business Analyst - 3 month contract- South West London - £400 p/d

A well established, not for profit organisation based in SW London are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with experience working across finance system implementations and migrations to join them on a short term consultancy project. This project aims to migrate to a cloud-based system and business objectives around streamlining processes, providing better ways of working and improved reporting.

Please note - this is a 3 month contract offering a day rate of £400 p/d. Initially some time will be required in the SW London office before moving to a more hybrid model.

The core focus areas of this project will be to implement a new Finance Management System (FMS) to improve financial operations and digital capabilities, to achieve cost savings by automating processes and introducing self-service functions to improve efficiency and collaboration and increase accessibility by providing easy access to data, enabling colleagues to quickly find and drill down into information.

The ideal candidate for this BA role will have solid business analysis experience directly supporting the replacement, and implementation of finance systems. You will also demonstrate expertise in financial management and systems. You will be a people person; capable of working with colleagues and senior leaders using skills in capturing requirements, supporting and challenging different perspectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review the current As-Is process map and problem statement to identify gaps and future opportunities for Finance processes.
  • Identify and agree on the priorities of each Finance journey with Certitude, including P2P, Invoices, Sales Ledger, and more.
  • Model the end-to-end To-Be process for the Finance journey using input from existing stakeholders.
  • Conduct workshops with stakeholders to prioritize processes and develop user stories (low-level requirements).
  • Review and identify current, interim, and target processes for the Finance journey.
  • Identify lean/Business Process Reengineering (BPR) activities within the Finance journey and highlight changes to support system development.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge in data management and reporting.
  • Create user stories (low-level requirements) for the Finance journey based on the agreed target end-to-end To-Be model.
  • Document repeatable processes and ensure knowledge transfer

The rate on offer for this 3 month contract is up to £400 p/d.
