Inclusive Boards is delighted to be supporting the Bar Standards Board (BSB) in their search for two new Directors to join the Senior Leadership Team:
- Director of Planning Programmes and Engagement
- Director of Legal and Knowledge Management.
The Bar Standards Board is the independent regulator for barristers and related specialised legal services businesses in England and Wales. They exercise the regulatory functions delegated by the Bar Council in line with the regulatory objectives laid down by the Legal Services Act 2007. The primary role of the Board is to ensure that they act in the public interest in accordance with those objectives. To that end, the Board set education and training requirements, establish and maintain professional standards, authorise organisations, and deal with questions of professional misconduct.
Director of Planning Programmes and Engagement
As Director of Planning Programmes and Engagement you will ensure that the Bar Standards Board is adequately resourced to deliver business plans and programmes which advance its public interest objectives and that key stakeholders are fully informed of, and engaged by, their plans. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will take collective responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership and organisational culture of the BSB.
Director of Legal and Knowledge Management
As Director of Legal and Knowledge Management you will be accountable, as Chief Counsel to the Bar Standards Board, for the quality of the BSB's regulatory decisions and, to that end, for the provision of legal and knowledge management support across the BSB regulatory functions, including the provision of legal advice, the handling of litigation, and the development of best in class information and knowledge management services. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will take collective responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership and organisational culture of the BSB.
