Azure Cyber Security Engineer - Limerick
Atrium UK is looking for an accomplished Azure Cyber Security Engineer to support a Limerick based client, in the Global Threat Tech team. The Azure Security Engineer will have an emphasis in security engineering, cloud architecture and development frameworks and will also play a crucial role in executing the cloud security strategy, as part of a diverse, multicultural team.
* Architect and manage Azure subscriptions, ensuring proper governance, security, and cost optimization across environments. Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure best practices.
* Lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure projects, balancing operational efficiency, security, and scalability. Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks and best practices using tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
* Automate cloud deployments, including network, storage, compute, and monitoring resources.
* Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and management of infrastructure.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, security, and application development teams, to align infrastructure solutions with business goals.
* Mentor and guide junior engineers in Azure best practices, IaC, and cloud architecture design.
* Contribute to and drive the establishment of best practices, standards, and processes to ensure efficient cloud solution development.
* Design and implement robust security practices and policies in line with Azure's security standards (eg, Azure Security Center, Key Vault, etc.).
Essential:
* Extensive hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure.
* Expertise in Azure services including Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, and Monitoring.
* Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates.
* Proven experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based infrastructure deployments.
* Solid understanding of cloud security practices, governance, and compliance requirements.
* Experience working in multi-cultural, distributed teams, and demonstrated ability to collaborate across time zones and cultures.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated leadership ability and a passion for mentoring and coaching junior team members.
* Proactive approach to continuous learning and self-improvement.
* Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, Git, Ansible, or Docker.
* Experience with containerization and Kubernetes within Azure (AKS).
* Knowledge of cloud cost optimization techniques and tools.
