Cordless Consultants have a vacancy for a consultant in the AV team.
The ideal candidate will have around 5 years' experience in a similar consulting role or a technical role within the AV industry. They will also have a technical degree in a relevant science and engineering-based discipline, such as Electronic Engineering, Media and Production, Music Studies, Physics or Theatre Engineering.
Overall Purpose of the Job
- To provide design solutions and project manage client-focused projects incorporating AV-related new and emerging technology, converged technology and Audio Visual/Video Conference solutions including audio and video distribution and processing systems, display and loudspeaker solutions, conferencing appliances and connectivity, media walls, lighting, sound systems, control systems and related products.
- To use research, analysis and a consultative approach to develop and deliver great solutions to our clients.
- To coordinate design and delivery with other disciplines involved in the client delivery team, including ICT, architects, Project Manager, M&E consultant, etc.
- Creation of quality reports in support of team in the delivery of projects
- To provide robust business solutions by introducing and qualifying suitable technology.

Our services range from initial workplace and technology visioning and strategy, through to the design, specification and full installation project management of most technology systems; including AV, networks, Smart technology, data centres and many others.

Through consultancy and research, the consultant's role is to stay ahead, be innovative and provide the best advice to clients in order to succeed their objectives and allow them to think laterally and clearly.
The AV Consultant's primary objectives will be to:
- To provide Consultancy services to clients regarding emerging technology and the art of the possible
- To assist in developing a client's requirements into an Audio Visual System design, including interfaces/dependencies relating to Structured Cabling, LAN and WLAN and the integration of other related technologies
- To represent the Consultancy in client projects through discovery, design, bid management, project management and commissioning stages
- To further our knowledge base and increase our profile as a leading research and analysis house
- Raise the profile of the Cordless brand, by being an ambassador
Primary Skill Requirements
- Broad Technical background and therefore understanding of technology with strong AV technical understanding
- Technical writing skills
- Strong ability to engage as AV consultant as part of a project professional delivery team' in order to deliver AV Systems in a coordinated fashion, on time and inside budget
- Ability to communicate complex technology in easy to understand language
- AV, IT and CRM literate
- Excellent presenter with ability to deliver presentation against brief, in an interesting and compelling manner
- Ability to assist clients in requirements and budget assessment
- Competent designer and specification writer relating to AV/VC and dependencies including Structured Cabling, LAN and WLAN equipment, M&E, etc.
