Assistant Accountant. Study Support. Hybrid Working. Excellent Development Opportunities
To be considered for this position you should be possess degree level education or AAT/Part Qualified. Applicants should possess a commitment to join one of the professional bodies within 3 months of joining and undertake to complete a minimum of 2 exams per year (an educational support package is provided as part of the role) and have A minimum of 6 months experience in a finance environment to include working knowledge of accounting systems.

Your new company
I am currently working on behalf of an established retail business based in the Greater Belfast area to recruit an Assistant Accountant to add to their team. This is a newly established position that has been created due to recent growth.
Your new role
Working within the existing team, you will be responsible for a range of duties to include:
- Assist with the preparation of key outputs
- Support the Management Accountant in all areas as appropriate
- Any other reports/information as requested by senior management
- Assist with ensuring the monthly management accounts are prepared and reviewed on a timely basis.
- Assist with ensuring that accurate and complete balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a quarterly basis in accordance with both the Financial Controller's and Group requirements
- Support the forecasting and budgeting processes through the preparation of schedules for the Management Accountant.
