This is a key role for the organisation leading the financial and procurement functions to help them deliver their corporate and social goals.
Job Description
Maidenhead (2 days - hybrid working)
Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance, you will play a key role in leading Housing Solution's financial management, procurement activities, and ensuring optimal performance across the organisation. The successful candidate will drive value for money through strategic financial planning, benchmarking, and both internal and external analysis.
Your key duties will include:
- Financial Control: Ensure robust financial controls are in place to safeguard services and property assets, manage liabilities, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Continuous Improvement and Financial Forecasting: Ensure budgets are properly forecasted, working across the business to ensure effective business partnering.
- Effective Business Operations: Overseeing the annual audit, financial accounts and Business Partnering, ensuring financial strategies align with organisational goals.
- Value for Money Strategy: Lead the development of the value for money strategy, setting clear objectives and key targets.
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Ensure effective procurement management and oversight. Overseeing all procurement activities, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Collaboration and Risk Management: Implement effective risk management practices to mitigate organisational risks.
- Innovation and Digital Transformation: Lead the implementation of digital tools and technologies linked to Financial information to enhance efficiency and transparency.
The Successful Applicant
You must be a fully qualified accountant with strong leadership skills gained managing diverse teams. It is essential that the new incumbent has extensive audit and business partnering experience. Some exposure to the social housing sector would be beneficial or experience working for an organisation that is customer focused.
