The CIBBusiness Unit Data Office (BUDO), serves as a Centre of Excellenceand delivery partner for both CIB and LBCM, bringing a diverse mixof colleagues, skills, frameworks, and best practices in managingour data effectively and generating subsequent insight andvalue.
Keyresponsibilities
You'll play a keyrole in supporting Metadata Management initiatives that drive ourgroup-wide Data & Analytics Strategy through the Core dataidentification and Data Foundations Programme. Your mainresponsibilities will include documenting metadata in the Group'smetadata repository and assisting colleagues in consistentlydocumenting and managing metadata according to group standards,ensuring compliance with the Group Data Policy across variousbusiness areas and changeprogrammes.
- Describe data in a centraldata catalogue to enhance discoverability andusability.
- Lead documentation of Business andtechnical data dictionaries and lineage identified Critical DataElement's (CDEs) and ensure they are appropriatelygoverned.
- You'll help promote the GroupMetadata repository, enabling Data Owners, Data Consumers, andother stakeholders to derive further value from data and automatethe monitoring of progress.
- Support businessareas in metadata documentation and Data cataloguing practices,focusing on Metadata Management, Data Quality, and Data Governanceactivities.
- Assist in designing and developingmetadata reporting solutions.
- Support indeveloping, embedding, and monitoring the adoption of the metadatamanagement framework.
- Assist in developing andembedding metadata management and governanceprocesses.
- Champion the use of Group Datamanagement tools.
- Works independently tocollate and analyse data using pre-determined tools, methods andformats.
- Provide oversight to ensure effectivedata risk management activities across theorganisation.

What you'llneed
- Ability to understandorganisational challenges and opportunities through datacataloguing and maintaining datalineage.
- Experience of data-centric changeprograms is preferred.
- Knowledge of databasesand querying SQL is preferred.
- Knowledge ofData Management principles and practices (e.g., MetadataManagement, Data Quality, DataGovernance/Privacy)
- Previous direct experiencewith data and tooling from either a data management or analyticsperspective is a benefit.
- Good knowledge of MSExcel and PowerPoint isrequired.
