Job Description
Assistant Accountant - Workington - progressive opportunity suitable for AAT qualified candidate Posting journals at month end as per the monthly checklist Preparation of VAT Returns and submitting VAT payments Preparation of monthly variances and KPI's Bank reconciliations Monthly expenses & credit card analysis Purchase Ledger - ensuring that transactions are properly processed, and supplier reconciliations are completed monthly with any queries being investigated and followed through Reconciliation of Payroll data in conjunction with monthly submitted time sheets Reconciliation of credit card statements Submission of VAT Ad hoc reports and analysis Assisting with Audit
What you'll need to succeed
AAT level 4 qualified with good level of comparable experience
Candidates from an accountancy practice would be highly desirable dur to the complexity of the business model.
Good levels of MS Excel
Team player

Salary £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience
23 days annual leave plus banks, incremental with service

Your new company
Our client is a market leading, innovative manufacturing company with a global presence. They have an opportunity within their finance team for an AAT Qualified Assistant Accountant to join them on a permanent basis at their site in Workington.
Your new role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Assistant Accountant will play a pivot role and will work closely with finance, operations and sales departments to produce detailed financial results to assist with business projects and financial results.
