Assistant Accountant - Management Accountant - Assistant Management Accountant - CIMA - ACCA - Part-qualified
The ideal candidate would be CIMA/ACCA part qualified with at least 5 years of relevant experience and would be proficient in I.T. software and MS Office, particularly Excel. They would possess an inquisitive mindset, won't be afraid to challenge the status quo, and can prioritise tasks flexibly to support the business during busy periods. Exceptional communication skills, diligence, strong attention to detail, and the ability to make reasoned decisions under pressure are essential. The candidate should be a self-starter, able to work independently, and have a friendly and enthusiastic personality. They should also be comfortable working to tight month-end close deadlines.

Your new role
I am currently assisting this innovative company with hiring this newly-created position of Assistant Management Accountant. The Assistant Management Accountant would ensure the smooth and timely execution of month-end processes, supporting the company's growth. Flexibility, strong communication, and a proactive attitude are essential. Responsibilities would include:
- Coordinate with finance team members on month-end activities, ensuring accurate cost and income capture, and updating the Head of Finance.
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, fixed asset adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and year-end statutory reporting.
- Collaborate with merchandising/procurement and commercial teams on royalty information and reporting.
- Support the implementation of strong financial processes.
- Assist with stock take, valuations, and management accounts preparation.
- Handle foreign tax/VAT compliance and other account administration tasks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and management systems.
