Job Description

Our client is a London-based fine art shipping and specialist art logistics provider, serving some of the world's top galleries, museums, and private clients. Their team consists of industry-leading talent with decades of experience in fine art logistics, installation, and storage.

They are now seeking an Art Technician to join their busy team based in Middlesex. Salary is flexible and dependent on experience.

The higher end of the salary will be offered to candidates with extensive experience in complex installations and pack-ups, leading jobs, and holding senior positions at reputable companies.

However, if you have moderate experience with installation and packing, this is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable firm and further develop your skills.

The ideal candidate will be driven to achieve excellence, have a strong work ethic, ambition, and a passion for working within a team of like-minded individuals.

This is a full-time, on-site position. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm, with an average of 30 hours of optional overtime available per month.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake and uphold the highest standards of packing, installation and transportation of artwork and high value goods
  • Provide outstanding client service
  • Execute workload as defined by daily schedule in a precise and timely manner
  • Work closely with coordinators to provide accurate estimates and technical solution
  • Maintain strong communication between coordinators, technicians and warehouse team

Requirements / Experience:

  • Experience in fine art installation and packing (essential)
  • Previous experience leading complex installs or managing pack-ups (preferred for senior level)
  • Ability to safely handle and secure delicate and high-value art pieces
  • Experience in a similar role within a reputable art logistics or shipping company (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
