Job Description

UAL is seeking qualified and passionate Art and Design Teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences at our Summer Workshops. Based either in Cambridge or Wimbledon, you will inspire the next generation of creative talent while expanding your own career potential alongside equally dedicated educators.

As part of the Future Creatives programme, an exciting and growing initiative within UAL Short Courses, you will teach engaging art and design workshops for children aged 7-11 and young people aged 11-17. These workshops run primarily during the summer school holidays across various locations, including London and Cambridge. We are looking for skilled teachers who can contribute to our vibrant educational community by delivering inclusive and inspiring courses.

Dates for summer 2025 Art and Design Workshops are:

Future Creatives Art and Design Workshop for 7 to 11 Year olds

28 th - 31 st July 2025, Monday - Thursday, 09:30 - 12: th - 21 st August 2025, Monday - Thursday, 13:30 - 16:30 Future Creatives Art and Design Workshop for 11 to 17 Year Olds

About you

We are seeking qualified Art & Design Teachers with experience in both primary and secondary education. You will be committed to delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, adept at tailoring your teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse age groups and perspectives. Confident in fostering a dynamic learning environment, you will support and inspire the creative growth of your students.

We are UAL Short Courses

UAL Short Courses (UALSC) is part of the University's department of Academic Enterprise which leads the University of the Arts London's commercial educational operations. UALSC is one of the University's wholly owned subsidiaries. There are 100 staff and 1,500 hourly paid staff in Academic Enterprise, which is integral to the University's long-term development.

Its mission is to increase the amount of income generated by the University from non-core teaching and research activities. It includes several successful existing business operations including UAL Short Courses Ltd, AE International (English Language preparation and Study Abroad) as well as UALAT.
