On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for an APS Obsolescence project manager for a 12 month contract based in London.

Purpose of the Role:

The Global Markets CTO Office is a global entity responsible for supporting the Chief Technology Officer of Global Markets in his daily mandate by handling transversal topics, such as Security Operations, Infrastructure (including Obsolescence Management) and other transversal projects, as well as ensuring Production stability, data quality and managing GM APS organisation and finance. Within Obsolescence Management, the activities include managing and enhancing GM's response to Infrastructure Obsolescence remediation.

Responsibilities of the role:

As an APS Obsolescence Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the Infrastructure Obsolescence project for GM, aligned with the GM IT strategy.
  • Ensuring governance by organising, preparing, chairing the different GM, CIB and Group committees.
  • Ensuring the implementation of the appropriate tool for obsolescence remediation roadmap tracking and follow-up.
  • Building strong relationships with IT and Business stakeholders globally.
  • Instilling strong awareness with clear responsibilities within the various project key stakeholders.
  • Working closely and synchronously with APS, ADM and Infrastructure stakeholders to prioritize and implement remediation, mitigation or risk acceptance strategies.
  • Escalating risks and issues to Management.
  • Ensuring client satisfaction by engaging in and acting on regular feedback.

As an APS Obsolescence Project Manager you will require:

  • Previous experience in Project Management with a track record in managing projects with global deliveries and hold a strong knowledge of Global Markets applications.
  • Building strong relationships with IT and Business stakeholders globally and instilling clear responsibilities and strong awareness among key project stakeholders. Show ability to work in a dynamic environment, rapidly adaptable to change, being accountable, pro-active, collaborative and an excellent team player.
  • Implementation (Implementing tools for Obsolescence remediation roadmap tracking and follow-up) and Risk Management experience.
  • Experience in computer science, infrastructure and good knowledge of production environment.
  • Financial background (desirable).
