The Application Engineer II is responsible for
Write and maintain code for applications in high level language (XML) translating a manufacturing biological process into machine instructions
Conduct developer tests, participate to integration tests and contribute to technical reports
Maintain and improve continuous integration, continuous testing and continuous delivery pipelines in Azure DevOps.
This position reports to the Sr Manager, and is part of the R&D department, Applications team located in Grens, Switzerland and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
Be part of R&D Biological Applications team, learn and master the Applications product lifecycle and be able conduct and support the execution of a project in context of Cell Biology
Contribute to the functional requirements analysis and technical solution design, learn the Cytiva CGT Applications code base and improve coding skills and write and maintain code for applications in high level language (XML)
Conduct developer tests, participate to integration tests, contribute to technical reports
Maintain and improve continuous integration, continuous testing and continuous delivery pipelines in Azure DevOps
Work closely with other engineers (i.e. electrical, mechanical, software, material) and biologists and support key customers and users of the Applications by contributing in the analysis of machine data and in writing investigation reports
Who you are:
Holder of University degree (Master) in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years' work experience in R&D department related to Life Science industry
Knowledge or previous experience in developing in any programming language and prior experience in participating in software development by using development methodologies and source code management (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, GitHub) is a must
Knowledge and previous experience with CI/CD concept and MS Azure DevOps is a must
Knowledge and previous experience in any markup language (e.g. XML, TeX, HTML) or in Python is must
Fluent in English is a must
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Knowledge and practical experience of relevant regulations (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, cGMP), specifically for the US and European market is a plus
French language is a plus
