Application Development Manager

Application Development Manager - Staffordshire/Hybrid - up to £85k plus package

I am currently looking for an Application Development Manager to lead and inspire a talented team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions across our entire IT Services landscape.

What You'll Do:

• Recruit, train, and mentor a growing team, providing clear direction and ongoing support.
• Help define the strategy and vision for key IT applications and tools, aligning them with broader business goals.
• Plan and manage resources, prioritise work, and maintain quality standards in our development life cycle.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to introduce and promote user-friendly self-service capabilities that elevate my clients service offering.
• Work closely with a variety of tech teams to ensure seamless integration and ongoing improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Around 5 years' experience supporting and developing platforms like BMC Remedy, SharePoint, or ITSM toolsets.
• Familiarity with SSRS/SQL for reporting and analytics.
• Understanding of automation tools and best practices.
• A background in team management-recruiting, coaching, and guiding staff to excel.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate with different disciplines.
• Proficiency in planning, monitoring, and controlling projects.
• Knowledge of quality management principles, with a proactive approach to tackling issues.
• Self-starter attitude and open-mindedness to feedback and ideas.

Nice to Have

• A degree in a related field.
• Experience with Ansible, Chef, Vagrant, or other automation/configuration management tools.
• Familiarity with the ITIL framework.
