AI Security Architect - London/Hybrid - 12-month Contract

My client, a leading global broadcating company is looking for a Security Architect with a strong foundation in security, who has spent the last 2-3 years working deeply with AI platforms, models, and ecosystems. You will be our in-house expert in assessing and designing secure AI systems-from foundational models and ML pipelines to GenAI integrations and LLM APIs.

This is a key strategic role, reporting into the Head of Security Architecture, working cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Legal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and lead secure design of AI/ML platforms, data pipelines, and GenAI integrations.

• Conduct threat modelling and risk assessments for AI workloads and associated infrastructure.

• Evaluate and enforce secure use of third-party AI services (eg, OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face).

• Develop and maintain AI security standards, policies, and guardrails in collaboration with engineering and compliance.

• Stay abreast of emerging risks in AI systems-model poisoning, prompt injection, data leakage-and translate them into practical mitigations.

• Champion privacy-by-design and ethical AI principles across our AI product development life cycle.

• Support AI-related security reviews (internal and third-party) and partner with procurement/legal on AI vendor risk assessments.

• Contribute to AI incident response playbooks and tooling for AI misuse or model compromise.

Skills & Experience

Required:

• Proven experience as a Security Architect or similar senior security role.

• 2-3+ years of hands-on security work related to AI/ML systems (eg, securing LLMs, data pipelines, MLOps, GenAI tools).

• Deep understanding of AI/ML development workflows and deployment architectures (cloud-native, on-prem, hybrid).

• Familiarity with security risks unique to AI systems: adversarial ML, prompt injection, data privacy leakage, model integrity.

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).

• Experience with Zero Trust, IAM, encryption, API security, and DevSecOps pipelines.

Desirable:

• Understanding of AI governance, model explainability, and regulatory trends (eg, EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF).

• Familiarity with popular AI frameworks/tools (eg, TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, MLflow).

• Prior experience in a regulated or content-driven industry (media, financial services, healthcare).
