Job Description
Doctors Direct have an exciting opportunity for a Speciality Doctor to work with us in General Adult Psychiatry, Enfield on an inpatient ward.
Are you an enthusiastic and skilled Speciality Doctor looking for a progressive role at one of London's newest Mental Health Partnership Trusts?
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for new admissions, including history-taking, mental state examination, and risk assessments.
Formulate differential diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans, in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
Prescribe and adjust psychotropic medications, ensuring regular review of efficacy and side effects.
Monitor and manage the physical health of psychiatric patients, working alongside general medical colleagues.
Address psychiatric emergencies, such as suicidal ideation, self-harm, or acute psychosis, and manage these situations safely.
Lead or contribute to ward rounds, reviewing patient progress, updating care plans, and facilitating patient discharges.
About the role:
Speciality: Adult Psychiatry
Location: Enfield, inpatient unit
Days per week: 09:00-17:00, Monday-Friday or client will accept someone 4 days per week, on-going
Rate of pay: Negotiable
Start date: ASAP - subject to compliance and RTW checks
Payment method: PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies
We request that the candidate have MRCP and on the Specialist Register.
