Job Description
Immediate Start, Accounts Assistant, Cannock, £28,000 - £30,000, 6-month contract, Hybrid 1 day in the office

Your new roleThe finance team are looking to appoint an accounts assistant to cover maternity leave.
This is an all round role and your duties will include:

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Ledger ownership and maintenance
  • Proactive credit control via email and telephone
  • Daily Cash allocation
  • Resolving queries
  • Issuing Credit notes and Invoices
  • Updating Group cash flow spreadsheet

  • Accounts Payable
  • Processing supplier invoices (approx. 500 per month)
  • Dealing with and resolving account queries
  • Processing weekly payment runs
  • Supplier account reconciliations
  • Ledger ownership and maintenance

  • OtherBank and Cash Account reconciliations
  • Knowledge of SAGE Intacct preferred
  • Microsoft Excel to v-look up and pivot table standard essential
  • Minimum 12 months experience in similar roles


What you'll need to succeed
You will have excellent knowledge and experience of accounts or within a similar role. The ideal candidate will have previously used SAGE, and display good communication skills, with a proactive approach to ensure the job is done to a high standard. You will use MS Excel extensively, so you will have good experience with spreadsheets, pivot tables/VLOOKUPS. You will ideally be immediately available or on short notice.
