Accessibility Designer/ Developer

My client are a world-class and renowned media and broadcasting organisation. We are looking for a specialist accessibility Designer/Developer to join the team. Ideally, someone who has exposure to similar environments as an expert in accessibility standards for TV and Media products.

We are looking for someone with experience in end-to-end product development, specifically focused on making the product accessible. This will be both fascinating and challenging.

You will work alongside and closely with UX and Product Research, Architecture and Design.

Skills/Tech stack:

• In depth experience with accessibility standards and regulations WCAG 2.2 Level AA and AAA r
• Strong knowledge and use of desktop and mobile assisting technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, ZoomText,Dragon Naturally Speaking,).
• Strong abilities in web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc )
• Expert knowledge of accessibility evaluation tools and frameworks (e.g., Axe, Developer Tools, Accessibility Inspector).

Desirable:

Swift

Review iOS (Objective-C) and Android (Java) platform accessibility documentation etc

Write new iOS (Swift with UIKit / SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin with XML / Jetpack Compose) accessibility techniques.
