Your new role
As the company's Senior Facade Designer, you'll act as a pivotal operational lynchpin in their workflows. You'll support and drive the implementation of Internal Progress Status Sheets for all ongoing projects, giving guidance and support to CAD Technicians as required. You'll ensure all outputs are in accordance with ISO 9001, and maintain accurate audit trail documentation as such. You'll produce and design approval drawings in line with project specifications for Architects, clients and contractors, supporting the wider contracts team by contributing to the RFI process. You'll quantify and order materials required for contractual items to be produced in the organisation's in-house production facility, and create detailed production drawings for this department, as well as for external suppliers. You'll compile drawing packages for on-site teams, and liaise with other departments / 3rd parties to ensure shared understanding of CAD requirements for each project & create 'As Built' packages for clients upon completion, having maintained communication pipelines with them throughout the lifecycle of the works. Occasionally, you will have to attend site visits for Design Meetings, surveys, and to provide technical support during construction. It is important that you ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a proven Facade Designer, with experience working on £multi-million packages on large-scale construction projects, with proficiency in CAD / SolidWorks. You'll have solid computer literacy, including MS Office suite, be an excellent communicator and possess strong analytical / problem-solving skills, with the ability to trouble-shoot within the confines of a pressurised, live construction scenario.
