Secondary - Cover Supervisor

Reed Education is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor for a Secondary school in Lancaster. This role offers an immediate start with a permanent contract directly with the school. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment.

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being advantageous.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of education for students.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning environment.
• Engage with students to facilitate learning and maintain a good classroom atmosphere.
• Be a role model to students, demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, and good listening skills.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to the wider school community.

• Recent relevant experience of working in Education at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is an advantage.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Reliable, committed, and interested in working with students.
• Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
• Must be able to share the commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
