IT Security Operations Engineer

The OpportunityAn exiting opportunity exists to join a highly successful business as they look to expand their cyber security team as they seek an IT Security Operations Engineer.The business operates a hybrid working model where you will be required in the office 2 days a week.The RoleYour role will be broad encompassing Server Security Support as well as managing Security Operations, including:

• Management of local firewalls for endpoints.
• Securing software for remote devices.
• Managing tooling, including anti-virus, Mimecast
• Operate Windows Intune and patch management software.
• Analyse security events from various data points including network, endpoint, and log sources expediently, consistently, and accurately.
• Support the delivery of network and endpoint security solutions to the business.
• Monitor systems for irregular behaviour and implement preventive measures.
• Determine the need for escalation and proactively communicate with staff and stakeholders.
• Educate and train staff on information system security best practices.

The PersonWith security operations experience gained either in a similar role role or having security experience from a broader infrastructure support role, you will be familiar with M365 and have experience with:

• Anti-virus tooling.
• Intune and patch management software.
• Mimecast.
• Endpoint security

Experience with the MS security stack such as Sentinel and Defender will be beneficial.
