Are you a visionary leader with a passion for data architecture and its transformative potential? We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Data Architecture to oversee and evolve our enterprise-wide data strategy and architecture practice.

About the role
- Responsible for the Enterprise Data Strategy and Data Architecture principles that support Cambridge University Press & Assessment in fulfilling its mission.
- Communicate the goals and ambitions for our data strategy and work with the organisation to implement the necessary changes.
- Oversee the architecture team, ensuring the delivery of fit-for-purpose information architectures that meet both current and future needs.
- Lead and develop the practice of data architects, supporting career development, and building marketable skills in data architecture, data engineering, and data analysis.
- Be accountable for the development and maintenance of strategic and transitional data architectures.
- Manage and develop the data architecture team, enhancing their capabilities and supporting their career advancement.
- Own and maintain the architectural governance process for information and data-related changes.
- Design and lead data governance initiatives, including chairing the Data Council.
- Establish and implement data policies across the organisation.
About you
- Proven experience in leading data architecture teams and initiatives.
- Strong understanding of enterprise-wide data strategies and governance.
- Excellent leadership and team development skills.
- Ability to engage and secure buy-in from organizational leadership.
- Experience in data policy establishment and implementation
