Finance Manager£48,715 per annum (London) / £41,408 per annum (Regional)Full-time, permanent, 35 hours per weekBased at our offices in Leeds (LS2) or London (NW1), or at home if you do not live within reasonable commuting distance from these offices. London based staff can work at home some of the time by agreement.

Britain Yearly Meeting (BYM) is seeking a proactive and skilled Finance Manager to oversee the finances of BYM, Friends Trust Limited (FTL), and Quiet Company (QC). In this key role within the Finance Team, you will ensure our financial operations are efficient, reporting is accurate, and systems are robust. If you have a strong background in financial reporting, group financial operations and team management, this role is perfect for you.

Duties in this role will include producing monthly management accounts, drafting annual accounts, managing income and payments processing, and ensuring accurate transaction recording. You will also oversee credit control, manage cash flow and treasury functions, and maintain the fixed assets register. Additionally, you will support with payroll, pensions and VAT processing, and line manage our Finance Assistants.

The ideal candidate will have up-to-date knowledge of UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice and charity SORP, experience in year-end audits, and proven abilities in managing financial processes, as well as experience with financial management systems like Business Central. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. Experience in the charity sector and a commitment to Quaker values will be advantages.
