AWS DevOps Engineer

AWS DevOps Engineer (SC) - Permanent role - Hybrid working - £60-85,000 per year (dependant on experience)

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for an AWS DevOps Engineer to work at a leading global consultancy client of ours on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic software engineering team, and will take responsibility for delivering and integrating software to form complete DevOps solutions.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the implementation of test automation solutions and deployment of related monitoring solutions.
• Transforming highly technical requirements into an effective DevOps toolchain to enable product delivery.
• Ensure software standards are always maintained and improved where necessary.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to more junior colleagues.
• Ensure that deployment strategies for products are repeatable, scalable, and highly available.
• Have deep technical knowledge, providing support to delivery teams and solving complex problems
• Will ensure CI/CD tools and pipelines are continually maintained and kept up to date
• Observe and follow the Engineering guidelines provided as part of the onboarding process.

Experience required:

• A strong background in DevOps engineering, ideally gained on AWS cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of AWS products including S3
• In-depth skills within troubleshooting, capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Experience using Kafka
• Knowledge relating to Azure cloud would also be highly desirable
• Containerisation experience using Docker
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes would also be beneficial
• Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).
