Job Description
The International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) for Genome Science is looking for PhD Students (f/m/x) The IMPRS for Genome Science is a graduate program established as a cooperation between the Uni versity of Göttingen and several other research insti tutions at the Göttingen Campus, including the Max Planck Insti tutes. Our research school aims at qualifying young scientists at the interface between experi mental and theoretical disci plines in genome science. The students will be able to work in diffe rent fields of research, including experi mental disciplines like genomics, transcripto mics, pro teo mics, metabolomics, molecular biology, bio chemistry, and bioimaging as well as theo retical disciplines such as stochastics, bio informatics, theoretical physics, and computational biology. Positions offered are to pursue Ph. D. projects in the areas of the life and computational sciences or related fields. Requirements: Candidates typically hold an outstanding Master's (or equivalent) degree in the experi mental life sciences (wet lab) or computational / mathematical / bio physical sciences and have an interest in in ter disciplinary projects. Criteria for admission include academic skills and experience, motivation and commitment, communi cation skills, knowledge of the English language, and creativity.
