An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Payments Industry Manager - SWIFT to lead in ensuring compliance, overseeing change and supporting the Head of Payment Services and members of the Payments Leadership team.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting our Leadership team, and Operational teams to ensure we adhere to Swift rules and industry best practice on an annual and ongoing basis.• Represent Virgin Money at Swift UK working groups and committees by providing input to industry discussions shaping the future of international payments and services.• Manage our relationship with Swift ensuring that new products and services introduced by Swift are analysed and shared with internal stakeholders for consideration of adoption.• Lead on projects to improve our payment processes or implement changes introduced as part of the annual mandatory Swift Standards releases.• Manage the annual Swift Security Controls Framework attestation ensuring Virgin Money complies with mandatory Swift security controls.• Support the governance and risk oversight of payment processes to ensure that we're doing what we should be for our customers and in line with scheme rules, internal policies, and regulations.• Assisting with any SWIFT related incidents that may crop up- both internal and external

We need you to have

  • Experience working in Payments and/ or experience working in a regulatory/ compliance function
  • Experience working in the Financial Services Industry
  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders internally and externally
  • The ability to disseminate information and cascade across the organisation to ensure VMs payment systems remain compliant with scheme and regulatory requirements
  • A proven analytic approach; investigating, using data, helping to understand what's happening, why and be able to explain this to your stakeholders.
  • An understanding of how the UK and wider payments industry operates including payment schemes and regulations
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to help us develop and be the best team we can be.
  • The ability to work independently and with a team when required
  • Experience working on strategic projects and delivering change

The icing on the cake would be

• An understanding of RMF and governance in VM

•The ability to work under pressure

• Problem solving skills and a self starter attitude
