Housing Advice Assistant - Housing OptionsWarwickshire6-month contract (40% Hybrid)£14.00-£16.27/hr
Working with the Housing Option service, our client is seeking an experienced Housing Advice Assistant for an initial 6-month contract.
You will be reporting to the Housing Options Manager and your main objectives will be to assist the Housing Options Advisors with the administration of Home Choice Plus. This involves assisting the Housing Advisors/Homeless Prevention Coordinators in the provision of the organisation's homelessness, homeless prevention and Housing Advice Service.
You will work with the operation of Home Choice Plus, the organisation's housing register, including updating applicants' records and responding to customer contacts, as directed. You will assist with the provision of the organisation's homelessness service, including arranging temporary accommodation and Bed and Breakfast bookings.
Duties will include

  • Financial transactions, including purchase orders and reconciliation of payments received against monies paid.
  • Processing of applications to join the District Council Housing Register and the provision of information to housing providers to enable households to be offered accommodation.
  • Administration of monitoring the Council's HELP fund spending and pursuing of repayments.
  • Administration of the Council's Tenancy Access Scheme.
  • Receive, respond and initiate correspondence and other documents relative to the Housing Advice Service.

  • The successful candidate will have ideally worked in the Social Housing. You will be confident and able to deal with complex information in a fast-paced environment.
    Possess clerical, administrative and office-based skills combined with excellent telephone manner and listening skills. Computer literacy, with a range of IT systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other databases is essential.
