What you'lldo

As a Data Scientist,you'll be responsible for contributing to the development andexecution of innovative AI and data science solutions for thebank's most pressing challenges. You'll work within a team of datascientists and engineers, providing technical expertise whilecollaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders todeliver high-impactresults.

Your responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Supportingthe data science community of practice, staying informed in thefield of applied AI and AIresearch
  • Communicating effectively withstakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on yourteam's projects and findings
  • Participating inend-to-end project delivery, from ideation to productiondeployment, ensuring alignment with businessobjectives
  • Assisting in the identification andimplementation of cutting-edge technologies, tools and techniquesto deliver value through cost reduction, income generation, orimproved customerexperience

Theskills you'll need

To excelin this role as a Data Scientist, you'll need a solid academicbackground in a STEM discipline such as Mathematics, Physics,Engineering, or Computer Science, ideally with a MSc or PhD. You'llalso need experience with statistical modelling and machinelearning techniques, as well as some knowledge of financialservices.

In addition, you'lldemonstrate:

  • Theability to use data to solve business problems from hypothesesthrough to resolution
  • Expertise in key datascience technologies and techniques, such as Python, Git, AWS, AWSSageMaker, PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, NumPy, scikit-learn,time-series forecasting, classification, regression, large-languagemodels, and experimental design
  • Experience ofusing programming language and software engineeringfundamentals
  • Experience of exploratory dataanalysis
  • Effective communication skills withthe ability to proactively engage with a wide range ofstakeholders
