Hours: 37.5 hours per week plus on call
Duration: Fixed Term - 12 Months
Salary: Hospice Clinical Band 8a, £50,952 -£57,349 per annum (FTE)
An additional 4 hrs per week plus 4% of FTE salary will be awarded for
1 in 5 on call commitment

We are seeking a professional, dedicated and caring ACP to be part of the multidisciplinary medical team to cover a period of maternity leave. You will report to the Nurse Consultant working as an independent practitioner and non-medical prescriber.
As the ACP you will work alongside the medical, nursing and AHP teams at an advanced practice level applying your extended knowledge and advanced skills in the principles and practice of palliative care to identify, assess, diagnose, treat, manage and support patients with palliative care needs including those with the most complex needs.
As a member of the senior medical team, you will be someone who is able to exercise complex levels of judgement, discretion and decision making in clinical care, championing innovative practice within the field of hospice and end of life care and work. You will need to be able to work in a 24/7 specialist team environment as the 1st on call accountable to 2nd on call physician to ensure effective co-ordination of care and appropriate and timely responses for our patients.
Requirements include:
- Being appropriately registered with NMC or an equivalent allied health professional body and hold physical assessment qualifications
- Non-medical prescriber (Extended formulary) with at least 5 years post-registration clinical experiences
At least 5 years post-registration clinical experience
At least 2 years palliative care experience or critical care/emergency care or primary care experience
Able to work day and night shifts and contribute to the 24/7 on-call rota
