IBM Z Series Security Administrator
Hybrid working (3 days per week onsite in Swindon)
6 Month contract initially, good scope for extension
Market rates (Umbrella-PAYE)

One of our blue chip clients are looking for an IBM Z Series Security Administrator to join the team on a long term programme of work. The ideal candidate will have experience of Managing and enhancing the security of the IBM Z Series Mainframe environment having strong background in RACF for z/OS and a deep understanding of Mainframe security principles.

Key Responsibilities:
* Security Management: Implement and manage security policies and procedures for the IBM Z Series environment.
* RACF Administration: Configure and maintain RACF (Resource Access Control Facility) to ensure secure access control.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Monitoring and Auditing: Regularly monitor and audit security logs and reports to identify and address potential security threats.
* Incident Response: Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the Mainframe environment.
* Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of security policies, procedures, and configurations.

Key Skills/Experience:
* Proficiency in RACF administration and configuration.
* Strong understanding of z/OS security features and best practices.
* Experience with security auditing and compliance.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or IBM Certified Specialist.
